Printing cuts off time signature and dots for note length

• Sep 18, 2021 - 05:12

My husband has a Mac, running Big Sur, MuseScore 3.6.2.548020600, rev 3224f34. He used MuseScore for the first time in a few months last night, but when he tried to print his score, the time signature was cut off, and there were no dots for dotted eight or quarter notes. The left edge also is cut off so you can only see a very small portion of the treble clef. When he looks at the score on the screen, it looks normal.

If he prints a score that he created using an earlier version of MuseScore, it prints just fine.

I have MuseScore on my Windows 10 laptop, version 3.6.0.487915773, rev 1977cb3. We saved the score to my laptop, and I have no problems printing it.

We tried comparing all our settings, just in case something happened when he updated his version, and they are pretty much identical across the board.

He's afraid to input any new scores now because of this. Anyone seen anything like this and have any idea what might be going on?

It's a known incompatibiltiy between the new notation font Leland and with the macOS LaserJet driver. either a different printer, or a different OS, or a different font fixes it. Assuming changing printer or OS is not a good option, you can change font in Format / Style / Score.
