Problems with Triplets

Whenever I input triplets in 5/8 time (by using ctrl+3), Musesore uses 8th note triplets, when I believe it should be using quarter note triplets.
I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug, or if there's some way to get around this.
I've attached an image and Musescore file which hopefully demonstrates the problem.

Asking for 3 whole-notes as triplets in a 5/8 bar is uncommon and MuseScore simply doesn't accommodate it automatically. If you can show an actual score where this is needed then I'm sure someone can work it out for you.
