Meta data and date time stamps on MS files

I don't even know if this or a similar feature exists in MS files, but if someone creates a score it may go through several iterations, and they may post different versions up on websites - such as MS.com.

While generally the original creator may consider each change an improvement, in a collaborative workspace this can also lead to confusion as different users may find they are working on different versions of the same piece.

Personally I still think that MS should include version control, but even without that having date and time stamps - and perhaps other metadata - on each MS file which could be compared would enable collaborative workers to be sure of what they are working on.

Even without full version control - which I've already indicated I'd prefer - having identifiable and meaningful time and identity stamps on each file could even help simply in identifying the order of changes in a music score, which may be of interest to some - even perhaps its creator.
