How can move to the left the note(head) of a whole note that's in the same system as a series of quarter notes?

Hi. I'm trying to enter a piano accompaniment score that asks for an accent on the whole note that coincides with the beginning of a series of quarter notes. The first file below shows what I want it to look like; the second shows how it stands in MuseScore right now. I managed to move the note to the right with shift-X, but I can't swap it to the left of the quarter-note chord.
Because I want to get that accent on there, I do like the original score's placements.

Using MuseScore 3 on a Mac, if that helps.
