MuseScore instantly crashes when using the up and down ordering arrows in New Score Wizard
When I try to order the instruments I've selected in the New Score Wizard using the up and down arrows, MuseScore crashes. This happens when the default ordering drop down menu is set to "Orchestral". When I change the menu to "Custom", this problem does not occur. I'm not sure if MuseScore crashes for any other setting other than "Orchestral" because I haven't tried other setting yet.
Just thought I'd share my bug and solution to the bug for anyone experiencing the same problem.

This shouldn't happen - what OS, what version of MuseScore? If it's happening on a brand new score, I guess it doesn't make sense to share the score since it isn't even created yet, but it would help to give the precise steps to reproduce the problem 0 the exact instruments you are adding the exact order you are doing things in.
Also be sure you don't have a custom instruments.xml file set in Edit / Preferences / Score, or if you do, that it doesn't contain any invalid XML or otherwise create any syntax errors. If in doubt, remove it.

Here is the copy and pasted information from the "About MuseScore" tab: OS: macOS Sierra (10.12), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.0.487915347, revision: 1977cb3
I honestly wouldn't be surprised it was crashing because of how old my OS is and how old my laptop is!
Thanks for the suggestions, Marc!

This particular issue git fixed for 3.6.1 already, see #315599: MuseScore 3.6 crashes when rearranging instrument positions and changing Ordering (see description)
