MuseScore lagging when inputting notes
When i input a note, the note doesnt make any sound or if it does its super robotic sounding, but when i play back the file it sounds fine

In order to understand and assist, we'd need you to attach your score and describe where you are trying to enter notes exactly. Could be something going on with that score. Also say what versions of MuseScore, what OS, and what settings your see in Edit / Preferences / I/O.

Its not specific to that one score, it happens on any score with more than a few instruments and the sound comes through, it just takes a while and sounds super robotic. Im on windows 10 with an i7 9700k and 32 gb of ram

Still it doesn't happen to others, so a sample score is needed

If it happens to any of the scores you've tried, then it should be simple to choose one to attach. Since it doesn't happen to anyone else that I am aware of, we'd need one of yours as a starting point for investigation. The score, and also precise steps to reproduce the problem (where you are trying to enter a note, what note you are trying to enter, how you are trying to enter it). I realize you may think that doesn't matte,r but again, since it doesn't happen for others, there must be something unique about either your score, your process, or your system, and we need to test each of those variables one at a time. If we can't reproduce the issue with your score and your precise steps, next up will be trying to help you debug audio issues on your system - another processing hogging the sound card, perhaps. Also, we may end up suggesting Help / Revert to Factory Settings, which isn't a bad idea to try anyhow.
