Assigning Note Values ?
Is it possible to split the note values as notated in the pic? As shown in pic, notate F as a half note and A as a quarter note..

If you're specifically entering drum music, be sure to also read the section on drum notation - the voices there are normally handled automatically according to the standard convention of stems up for hands, stems down for feet.

Hi MArc,
yeah pretty familiar drumming with it. Now notating piano, so wasn't sure is the voice layers function the same. I'll give it another try. thankx
