Note labeling for certain intervals only
The note labeling feature is very nice. I discovered if I only want to label a certain clef it appears to function by only labeling that selected clef. but it would be great if we could select certain intervals and apply the note labeling feature only to those selected intervals.

I have no idea what you mean by note labeling?
If you mean the abilty to put note names within noteheads, there are two ways to do this. I'm guessing so far you know about the way that you get to in Staff/Part Properties, but that applies to all notes on the staff. So don't use that method - instead use the Inspector method. Select the notes you want to change (eg, select the whole range, then click Notes in the Inspector to limit the selection to just the notes), and set the "Head scheme" as desired.
