Change note flag notation

I don't really know how to explain this well, but I'm wondering if there is a way to have note flags beamed into nothing. The best example I have of what I'm looking for is from Boulez's "Douze Notations" as pictured below:

I looked around and couldn't find much other flag notation in the palettes. Can somebody help me achieve what I'm trying to do?
