MuseScore files are just files on your pc like any other. So if you figure out where you saved it, then you can "retrieve" it.

... and back in 2018, this was probably in a folder relating to MuseScore 2? On my Windows laptop the default folder for MS2 was named like this:
..\Documents\MuseScore2\Scores

MuseScore 3 got released end of December 2018
