cut/paste
I am unable to copy/cut. I followed the instructions in the handbook - I clicked the first note I wanted to copy, the shift clicked the last note. The rectangle never appeared around the passage. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Did you deselect something in the selection filter (F6)?
Indeed, probably you deselected voice 1 in View / Selection Filter. But if you've verified that is not the case, please attach your score and describe in moire detail (which notes you are trying to select) so we can understand and assist better.
