More details needed: what version of MuseScore excatly, what operating system?
Did you try to revert MuseScore to factory settings, if neededvia command line? (See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/revert-factory-settings#Via_command…)?
What about using -w instead of -F (from the above procedure) or startung MuseScore by double clicking a score?
