Using MIDI Drum Kit to Write Scores
Hello. I have a Roland TD-17 connected MIDI to Musescore. It is reading my hits but doesn't separate the drums out, it is all landing on C and isn't separating note values either.

Sounds like it's always sending only one pitch. Consult the manual or the support forum for that device to learn how to configure it to send different pitches. I'd have assumed that was the default, so maybe a factory reset would do it.
Not sure what you mean by "separating note values", but keep in mind, MuseScore expects you to set the duration of the next note(s) within MuseScore, using the toolbar or shortcuts.
