Crescendo and diminuendo lines issue

I don't know if you already have been reported this, but when you use diminuendo and crescendo lines and markings on Musescore 3, the line goes all the way to the first dynamic on the next measure instead of to the nearest dynamic. So, if I have eight quarter notes spanned over two measures and use a crescendo on the first quarter note all the way to the fourth quarter note on the first measure, it will glitch and go to the dynamic on quarter note five on measure two instead. I tried moving the line, but it won't let me detach it from measure two. This has made composing very hard.

I just tried this and it worked as expected. Hairpin or line did not attach to the second measure. Please post a score showing what is happening for you.
You don't say how you are adding the line, but normally, you should select the range of notes you want it to apply to, then click the palette symbol. If you have a score where doing this doesn't add the line exactly to the range you selected, then indeed,d please attach it and explain precisely what you are you are doing, so we can understand and assist better.
