Trouble with "Change Instruments" -
I am working on a score where I am using "change instruments" to have the brass section clap hands. Having problem with one instrument (Bariton Horn Treble Clef) when I do a second "change instrument" to have musician return to Baritone Horn - I am getting the wrong key?!?! (off by one step).
Have tried several times to fix by removing the instrument from the score and then adding again.

It's probably a manifestation of #320828: Change Instrument Palette Text does not recognise current instrument leading to incorrect transpositions. This happens when you add the instrument change from the pallet. if you add it from the [Add]>[Text] menu it works ok.

I tried this and was able to insert text, but did not affect clef or transposition...
Here is the score - the issue occurs in measure 45, Euphonium Treble Clef Part

I see no euphonium treble clef part, not in the score nor as a generated part. I see Euphonium bass clef parts.
Have you mis-clicked when selecting the score to attach.

Problem is in the Baritone Horn (Treble Clef) part at measure 45. I have tried using both the Baritone Horn (Treble Clef) and Euphonium Treble Clef and the same problem has repeated.

OK, looking at the baritone horn treble clef stave in that score at measure 36 it has treble clef and one flat - as expected with 3 flats for concert pitch instruments. At measure 37 there is an instrument change to hand clap, the clef changes to percussion and the key signature changes to 3 flats (i.e. hand claps have the concert pitch key signature). I see no notes in the handclap section, but if I add notes at pitch = A I hear handclaps. At measure 45 there is another instrument change "To Baritone horn (treble clef)". The clef changes to treble (as expected) but the key signature changes to one sharp. However if I delete that instrument changes and replace it with an instrument change to Baritone horn (treble clef) from the Add>Text menu (that is the fourth menu from the left at the top of the window) I see treble clef and one flat which is correct.
As I pointed out in my first reply there is a problem with the instrument change text in the pallets. It is broken when used to change from or to transposing instruments. So the work around until this gets fixed is to not use instrument change texts from the pallet but use them only from the Add>Text menu.
See the attached revision of your score with that text from the Add>Text menu. Like To Get To Know You Well DWupdate (Fixed).mscz

Thank you for all the help Steve!
I tried the Add>Text again and was able to make it work - the first time I tried I did not notice the "select instrument" option in the inspector, and only noticed the text box that opened above the Baritone Horn staff.
I do notice that if I toggle to Concert Pitch, the Baritone Horn staff now appears with the correct key, but in Treble Clef (same transposition as Trumpet, which is fine) - in the measures prior to the Hand Clap change, toggling to Concert Pitch shows the staff in Bass Clef. I can certainly live with that for now and hope that it gets addressed in a future update.
