remove measure numbers
how is it that i cannot remove the measure number? I've tried. Format, Style, Measure Numbers, Unclick Measure Numbers. Not successful at removing the numbers.

If possible for you, try clicking the button on the bottom of that dialog "Reset all styles to default" and try again.
If disabling the style setting didn't make them go away right away, try saving and reloading the score - occasionally that might be needed to trigger changes in automatically-generated elements like those (although normally it does work without needing to do that).
If they still don't disappear, consider the possibility that what you are seeing are not in fact measure numbers, but rehearsal marks or something else. Try clicking one and check the status bar to be sure.
And if still no solution, then as mentioned, please attach your score.
