Just can't find the answer to a simple problem.
Must be that I don't enter the 2nd ending bracket correctly? The concert band score plays the 1st ending alright, but skips a bar or two in the 2nd ending before going on.
My question - What is the correct method for putting in the 1st and 2nd endings in a score?
Do I need endings for all bracketed instrument groups, or is one set of endings at the top of the score enough?

Also ensure that the "Play repeats" button is selected (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/play-mode#playback-toolbar)
If reading those handbook articles doesn't solve your problem come back here and attach the score (.mscz file) you are having difficulties with.
Definitely check out the Handbook. And for the record, for voltas and other repeat markings, just one set at the top is the norm. For large ensemble scores like orchestras, often that info is repeated again about the strings, which is supported "kind of" with some workarounds (eg, add to the top of each section as plain text, then hide the resulting duplicate marking in the corresponding part).
