Musescore Mobile Editor App

• Mar 26, 2022 - 23:34

Hello!

This is probably a concept or idea that has been brought up before and there may not be much interest in it however I have a huge interest in Musescore being ported to an Android App.

I used to use flat for school projects but personally didn't like it too much and I'm a user who more frequently uploads and interacts in Musescore communities.

As a sort of proof of concept, I I have quickly designed what one frame of the Musescore mobile app might look like.

Will probably continue to design more for my own interests, but I wanted to know if there were any others in the Musescore community who also felt we really needed a mobile app.

If there is any interest and if I could get involved, I would love to as I have a bit of background in designing for Web Development projects and Android apps.

Sincerely,

Blueb4ry

I have seen a number of requests for a mobile version over the years so there is definitely some interest. I would like to see an Android version but I think it would be a huge undertaking for developers, with the UI being the least of the difficulties.

The .com site has mobile versions but only for playback and they do not appear to see mobile versions of a score editor as commercially viable.

For guitarists, Guitar Pro's mobile app provides a simplified, but useful, score notepad editor. Also on mobile is a fully fledged version of TablEdit which has MusicXML support.
