Font Weight

Hi all,

I am using a font which, when downloaded, came with multiple font weights (specifically, EB Garamond, which has various levels of boldness). When I use the font in MuseScore, however, I'm not given the option to change font weight or even select various weights as separate fonts. Is there a way I can use fonts with varied weights?

Just to clarify, I'm not referring to the font "style" in MuseScore, which I'm pretty sure just uses an algorithm to generate bold and italicized text. This is going in a magazine which needs to have exactly the same font weight.

Are you on macOS? There does seem be a known issue regarding font variants not showing up on that platform specifically. Workaround could be to generate the final PDF on a Windows or Linux system. Or it would presumably be possible to tweak the font metadata so that the variants appear as individual fonts. A font expert could probably say how.
