I am unable to reproduce this problem, but when I am using MuseScore for several hours in a day, it will freeze several times.
When it freezes, I have to get Windows to shut down the task, and when I restart, MuseScore restores the last project quite nicely. As long as I save frequently, I am not losing much work.
I did not see any posts in the forum that came close to describing the behavior I am getting.

Could it be due to a score of many pages with Parts?
Attach a *.mscz file here, add information like operating system, soundfont, etc. Someone will be able to try to figure it out.
You're all but one and still haven't provided the requested file
I have found the sequence that reproduces the problem, and I can see why no one would have reported it thus far, and why it should likely have a low priority. Bear with me.
I am using a Corsair Virtuoso Wireless Gaming Headset with MusiScore. If the headset is running using the wireless option when I start MuseScore, it works fine. But if I switch the headset to wireless AFTER starting MuseScore, there is no sound coming from the headset, but MuseScore runs otherwise fine. However, if I start MuseScore with the headset in Wireless mode and use the sound in MuseScore, then switch the headset to turn the wireless mode off (I was using this method to try to lengthen the run time of the headset battery), and subsequently turn the headset wireless mode on again, MuseScore Freezes and has to be shut down using Windows.
You're still all but one.

Sorry, I had thought that the Frequency was how many times the problem has occurred for me, not the whole community. I stand corrected.
