When I create a system and I need to join the flags between the systems, how do I do it?

Normally, this is done via cross-staff notation - see that section of the Handbook for more info. Unfortunately this is implemented for percussion. So if you wish to use this, you'll have to fake the percussion staff by setting your noteheads manually.
