Yes to both!
For the first, select the passage you want to copy from, then use View / Selection Filter to exclude voice 1 from the selection, then Ctrl+C to copy, then be sure to re-include voice 1 or you won't be able to select the destination or anything else. Then select your destination and paste. If you want the results in voice 1, then use Tools / Voices to exchange voice 1 & 2.
To explode the contents of a staff, select the passage and use Tools / Explode. Be sure to have some empty staves below to receive the contents.

Thank you,
i wish to extract (or copy) the 1st voice from a guitar score to a flute part.
So i right click 1 note from the 1st voice>select>more>tick "same staff" "same voice" "add to selection"
All notes i want to copy light up blue. Than i click edit>copy and the first rest in the flute part and paste.
But nothing seems to happen.

Probably not you, but MuseScore. In my opinion it should work, but it doesn't. I have tested it with MuseScore 3.6.2.
But you can use another way. Select all notes of the guitar staff. Open the selection filter, uncheck voice 2 and copy and paste it into the flute staff. At least that works in 3.6.2.
Don't forget to set the selection filter back to "All" afterwards.

"edit+copy"? Yes the Selection Filter works that way in MU4. Except you need to re-check voice 2 before you can select a place to copy. And you might need to deal with rests.

Since (s)he wants to copy voice 1 the re-check of voice 2 can be done afterwards. And the rests are as they should be.

Where do i find the selection filter please?

Update to 3.6.2, at least, if not to 4.1.1
Anyway: the selection filter is found in the View menu

You can find the selection filter under "View" - or just press F6.

thank you all!

The Select menu only builds “list” selections; you want a “range” selection in order to copy & paste notes. The Selection filter will do that as notes.
See the Handbook sections on selection and on copy & paste (both in the Basics chapter) for more info.
