SIgning In - User Name and Password

I am writing on behalf of my brother.
He is trying to sign in to Musescore but every time he tries he is told 'user name already in use' - he is using his email to sign in with. He feels he must have made an account some time ago but has no way of making this enquiry.
Could any body help please?
