The Soundfont settings I saved to my musescore files are all gone.

• Jun 20, 2022 - 14:34

I moved to a new computer and tried to load the soundfont settings from the score using the Synthesizer from "View." However, whenever I do that, it sets back to MuseScore's original soundfont and default Master Effects.

I've used the sf2 file the entire time, this can't be the problem, right?
I thought saving the soundfont and its settings to the score would permanently make that musescore file sound the way I intend it to be.

I now have to click "save to score" for all of my files even though they're supposed to be in the soundfont I used.
While this doesn't mean I have to modify all of my files, it frustrates me that this even happened in the first place.

Update!
I think I solved the issue by deleting the MuseScore.ini file from the Roaming folder on the primary disk.

I guess I should just stick to the default master effects settings from now on.
Is there a way to set the master effects precisely? As in, instead of sliding the adjustments, is there a way to enter numerals?

To be clear though, you don't save a soundfont in a score; you safe a reference to it. If you changed to a new computer, make sure that soundfont is copied/installed to it in the same position to make it work again.
