I have new laptop I'd like to install muscore on. Is there a way I can transfer it for the old to the new?

Thanks,

What is the reason to "transfer" from old to new?
Settings?
If so, You can install in new laptop and transfer just profile folder(s)

As noted, no particular "transfer" of the program itself is needed. Just install it normally. You will of course still want to transfer your actual scores, just as you will all your other files (word processing documents, etc). Those are just normally files in your Documents folder. If you are using Windows and didn't disable OneDrive, then that should happen automatically. Otherwise, you'll just want to use a thumb drive to copy over everything in Documents.

If you have special templates, plugins you modified or made, ... you could also "transfer" them from you old to your new laptop. Look in the preferences to know where there are stored :

You could also want to transfer some of the Musescore's config files:
Have a look in C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScore3\
I see some files you could copy over like:
* Your workspace file(s) in workspaces\
* Your shortcuts : shortcuts.xml

Musescore config file is in
"C:\Users\YOU_USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\MuseScore\MuseScore3.ini"

PS: I haven't test this
