I have lost the bottom line of the score and don't seem to be able to change the sizing of the page yo retrieve it. Help please!

Attach the score, the mscz file. Without we can't help at all
Sounds like you have too many staves to fit on the page given your current staff and page sizes. both settings are in Format / Page Settings, so simply change one or both until it fits. If you continue to have trouble, then indeed,d we'd need you to attach the score in order to understand and assist further.
