Why does trill 'speed' change, with two tied notes? [Solved]
My concern is with flute & oboe, measures 11 and 12. Both have a trill during half-note tied to quarter-note.
I was looking for a trill that would last for an effective dotted-half duration. But to my ears, the trill changes speed (by slowing) when the tied-quarter note arrives on beat one of measure 12.
I've tried various re-notation attempts, but the same behavior exists. I must be mis-comprehending how the notation works.
Thanks for suggestions...

The fermatas on the Violin and Viola staves cause MS to slow down the whole measure. Change to a half-note rest followed by a quarter note rest with fermata and it plays back better.

Solved! Thanks... Those instruments so far apart in the score, I never would have made the connection of effect. Sounds as I envisioned it.
