Sf2 Search

When you have a lot of sf2s and you are making a score with non default sf2s, it becomes hard because it takes more time than should be necessary. I spend a lot of time looking for the right sf2 and probably a lot of other people. That would be great if you could do that! Thanks!

In MuseScore 4, you won't need to select the specific sound, just select the soundfont and it will automatically choose the corresponding source. Assuming you even find it useful to continue to use sf2 files, because the theory is, the new Muse Sounds sounds library will be so good, nobody will waste their time with sf2's anymore. I guess we'll see when the library i ready for testing, hopefully within the next few weeks!

Well, yes, that too - not changed much but maybe a little, and renamed to MS Basic. But the real news will be the new free Muse Sounds library - that's supposedly going to be amazingly better than any sf2 ever. So most people will be able to forget all about any other soundfonts or VST's they used to have to resort to.

Meanwhile, be aware that like most other dropdown lists, you can simply start typing the first few letters of the sound you are looking for, and the list should jump right there.
