  1. Set visible to False (unchecked) for a clef (have only used treble clefs, so can't comment on bass).
  2. Make changes to the width of the measures in that line so that it wraps onto a new line.
  3. The lines impacted by the new automatic spacing/wrapping will have a visible clef at the start of the line, and will usually have a non-visible (greyed) clef in the measure that was previously at the start of the line.

If I understand correctly, this is correct behavior. Any change you make to the visibility of a clef affects only that specific clef in that specific measure. Any new clefs generated for other measures because of layout changes will have the default visibility. if the goal was to have no clefs at all,. don't hide them individually; disable them in Staff/Part Properties. Or prevent them from being generated after the first system in Format / Style / Page.

If that's not it - if a clef made invisible in a given measure is becoming visible in that same measure - please attach your score and precise steps to reproduce the problem.
