Removing a loop over the measure

So I went back to this one measure and added a tie for an instrument, the lone instrument in that whole column, to connect it to the next section, and somehow these blue pennant-shaped icons appeared sticking the measure in a loop I can't seem to get out of. Please see attachment. How do I remove it?
