style settings
I'm trying to eliminate extra space between staves. I go into Format - Style - Page and I 'm able to eliminate the space. But when I close the dialog box, the score reverts to its previous unaltered state. The same thing happens when I eliminate the first line indent. Am I missing a step?

Works fine here by deselecting "enable indentation on first system" and confirm it with "ok" and disable the vertical justification of staves and adjust the min/max system distance and confirming it.

You sure do, it's just below the part of the dialog that you can see. That dialog window is larger than your screen.

Means, resize/decrease this dialogue by dragging the borders of that window with the mouse and move it so, that you can see this buttons again.

Sounds like you didn't press OK to get out of the dialog. Could be your display and/or OSsettings and are confusing MuseScore and you can't see the OK button? Try just pressing Enter. But also, best to fix the display/OS settings so MuseScore doesn't display everything too large. On Windows, for example, often it works to find the EXE file for Musecore under C:\Program Files, then right-click, Properties, Compatibility, and experiment with the various high DPI settings.

I definitely don't have an OK button to press. I will try to follow your instructions and fix my settings. I'll get back on the forum if that doesn't work. Thanks!

pressing enter did work. I will still try to fix my settings though.
