Play palette disabled after Windows update

Just updated my newish Dell laptop with Windows 11 version 22H2.
My scores load but the play panel is disabled and greyed out. So cannot play the scores. Other functions seem OK.
Tried reinstalling Musescore default but still not working.

What should I try next
