Changing playback instrument
Is there any way to change instrument playback? I'd like to change my standard piano to a detuned tine EP but that's only in the mixer and changes the entire instrument throughout the entire score. I'm also not able to change it using the change instrument option, because the Detuned Tine piano isn't there. If anyone could tell me how to do this, I'd very much appreciate it.

As you state, you can change the playback sound for an instrument using the mixer. But then you're confused that the playback sound of the instrument is now changed (for the entire instrument?)?

Sorry about that, I meant that if I change the playback of the instrument, the instrument is this sound for the entire duration of the song, when I would rather one part be one playback noise and the other part be another playback noise. Sorry, I'm not too good at explaining it.

If I understand correctly, you want the pianist to switch fro an acoustic piano to an electric mid-score? To do this, add the instrument change, select electric piano, then use the Mixer to select the specific sound for the new sub-channel that the instrument change added. To see the sub-channels, click the arrow at the top of the channel strip.
