I keep getting this error message when trying to save
Open Temp File
/Volumes/LaCie/MuseScore Projects/School Files/Crazy Eights Etudes.mscz.temp
failed: Operation not permitted

Generally this indicates some sort of permission problem, as the message says - like your account doesn't have write permission in that folder. But there are some other special cases where it can happen, See if the problem goes away if you do a Save As - whether to that folder or another on a different volume/drive.
