I've seen that also. It should be faster after a bit. Let it run and see what happens.
The first estimate of the time for the download is always way way way off because it's estimating based on basically no data. Let it run more than a few seconds and then it should be able to judge better. At typical internet speeds, you should expect it to be a matter of a minute or so for the smaller ones or up to an hour or two for the whole set.
