Suggestion For Space bar function when Mixer Panel is active

1- Open any score with more than one instrument
2- Press F10 to open the Mixer Panel OR click the mixer tab if it is already there
3- Click on the Solo Green Button in the mixer in order to preview one of the instruments
4- Press space bar

The intuitive function of pressing space bar at this moment is that it will start playback to solo preview the said track.
what actually happens is that pressing the space bar will toggle the solo button back to its previous status which is counter-intuitive and a bit annoying.

The workaround is to click anywhere on the score or interface to deactivate the toggling function of the space bar to the solo button

Suggestion: make space bar start playback and assign other keyboard shortcut to toggle the the solo button

  • the same thing is valid with the mute button as well
