I use MIDI controller Keystation Mini32 MK3 M-Audio
MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021), MACOS 12.4 (21F79)
MuseScore 4

Create new sheet
Insert MIDI Controlloer
Select on the instrument staff, then push your MIDI keys
You will hear sound of notes you pushed, but it's delayed

*PS: in musescore 3, it's running fine and there is no delay

This is a long time problem, even in musescore 3 most midi controllers have up to 700ms of delay, most commonly 300ms. If you didn't have this issue before, you were very lucky. I also experience this on MS4 but I didn't in MS3.

Yes, it is annoying and I am happy that I keep Musescore 3 on one of my MacBooks. Unfortunately on MacBook Air and on iMac M1 I updated to MuseScore 4 and now I will look for an option to downgrade:( Pity. I was so happy with MusuScore until yesterday.
