I experience the same thing too on my Bass Clarinet + Piano solo!
It only seems to be on scores with a piano (or a double-staffed instrument part!) ... removing the piano part seems to stop the crashing.
I am having a time signature crash issue as well. I have a multi part percussion pieces that crashes when I go to change the time signature. At first it didn't put in the proper amount of beats (had too many). Then it would crash as I went to put in notes/rests.

removing the piano part fixed the issue for me too!
I ran reproduce the issue on the attached score, but only while the electric piano part is open. I believe that this issue is related to corrupted multimeasure rests, which can be seen in the piano part of the attached score by pressing 'M'. I was able to fix this by slowly converting the part from 4/4 to 2/2, one group of measures at a time. The fixed score is attached.
