Musescore 3.x allowed a lyric ellision to be inserted in Lyrics mode with the shortcut Ctrl + Alt + -, but now it only inserts a hyphen. This feature is required multiple times in every Italian frottola I transcribe, so I will be unable to use 4.0 until this feature works.
Comments
You could use the special character palette
Under 'View' click 'Master Palette', then scroll down to 'Symbols', then type 'Elision' and you will see three options
Or use Shift+F2
Is there a way we can assign a shortcut key to these symbols? I use them in all my work with MuseScore, and the Master Palette window disappears automatically whenever I highlight another window (e.g., the one with my source material). I really wish MuseScore made it easier to work with lyrics, song being such an important branch of music.
