1) use the "add measures before selection tool"
2) over time, things start to go wrong in the score, for me the measures I added would sometimes not show notation in the individual parts, eventually, as i did more things the score corrupted. On another score, I used the tool again and playback completely stopped working, even after rebooting the software. This finally resulted in me recieving the "File is corrupted" error after only an hour or so of using the tool originally. I am on Windows 11, version 4.0.

One more thing, I also noticed that after using the tool, trying to change the time signature would crash the software.
This should be fixed by https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/15257, which will be included in the next patch release.
One question though: it is known that this tool currently creates corruptions in individual part scores. Have you also experienced situations where the main full score would end up being corrupted too? (i.e. showing measures containing too many notes or rests)
