In MuseScore 3.x, you could customize the midi velocity/velocity change associated with dynamic symbols (see screenshot). This functionality appears to be missing in MuseScore 4.0.0. Notice how the playback section in the inspector is now disable when a dynamic change element is selected.

Indeed, this is by design. The new design is that you set note velocity only, not partially in dynamics and partially in the notes. Future versions will include additional capabilities.

Ok, I guess my take on that is that if the dynamic symbols impact the playback velocity (which they do) then you should be able to customize what that impact is. It was very convenient to be able to do that in one place and have the velocity changes apply to an entire section as opposed to having to customize the velocity for each individual note. Hopefully you will take that into consideration when adding the additional capabilities.

You don't need to do "each individual note", just select the whole range and apply the change there. So you're still able to do a whole section at once. But I assume the proposed new "volume lane" will be better still. Meanwhile, the range is the way to go.
