Sound Echo or Distortion 2
I have downloaded Muse Score 4 three to five times and I keep getting the same results. Every time I use the acoustic guitar and enter a note I get a sleightly delayed or distorted note. What is going on here?
I've been looking forward to Version 4 and this is disappointing and I can't keep if it continues this bad behavior
Can someone give me a solution for I really want to keep Muse Score 4 and write good guitar music?

Does it sound normal on playback, only a little glitchy while inputting notes? Or is the playback glitchy as well? If the playback is glitchy, this may mean you need to tweak the settings of your audio device, such as to limit sample rate to 48 or 44.1 klHz.

I had the same problem, both on input and during playback. Changing edit > preferences > I/O > buffer-size to 4096 helped a lot, though acoustic guitar still sounds like a toy piano. But it did in MS3 too, so that may be poor audio on a very old PC.

Lafayette - I think Marc meant audio DEVICE, on your PC. If so, find it and look for a menu called Preferences, Settings or Properties

Okay, now assuming it sounds normal on playback, is there a different answer for: "only a little glitchy while inputting notes"?

Yes, the answer is, some amount of this is normal for Muse Sounds, which is currently optimized for normal playback. I just ignore slight glitches during note input. You can also switch to MS Basic (all at once for all instruments in View / Playback setup) if you find it too distracting. I assume this will be improved over time.
