Soundfonts fail as symbolic links in MuseScore 4

I am running this setup:
OS: Windows 10 Version 2009,
Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.0.0-223472200,
revision: 5485621

In v3, I was able to use symlinks in my soundfonts folder. I tried the same in Musescore 4, and the linked fonts are not found. If I place the file directly in the soundfonts folder, it is detected. But not the links, which is what I would prefer to use.
