Chord on Midi Keyboard across barline

When entering a note longer than the remaining beat in the bar, it automatically creates a tied note over to the next bar as expected.

But when trying to type a chord with a midi keyboard, the chord is only recorded on the last note of the tie instead of over the entire note duration.
