Ossia and Orchestral sheet layout

Hi everyone!

I'm currently writting a simple orchestal piece and needed to add an ossia stave for a solo cello, as indicated in the image Ossia N01.png. I've added it as one would in previous versions, creating a solo cello instrument, hiding empty bars and selecting it to be a smaller size, but there's a problem in the engraving of the complete orchestral sheet music due to the ossia.

Now there is a clear gap between cellos an violas, where the hidden solo cello is (Problem and general problem .png). This is also extrapolated as a problem when reviewing the cello parts (parts.png).

Is there anyway to completely hide the solo cello stave per page? I know the eye option in the instrument pannel hides the stave completely, but that would also hide the ossia.

Or maybe there is a better way to make an ossia stave that can be seen in parts and the general sheet music without disrupting the engraving?

In the Style dialog (Format > Style), under 'Score', make sure you have 'Hide empty staves within systems' checked, and also 'Don't hide empty staves in first system' unchecked.

For now, this causes a problem on the first page if you have empty staves you do want to show, so you can override this by including something invisible (e.g. a text item set to white) on any staves you don't want to hide at the start.
