Toggle MIDI input
Hi everyone!
I write a lot of music using my MIDI keyboard and therefore I use the command "Toggle MIDI input" a lot! I'm trying to switch to MuseScore v. 4 but unfortunately this command is no longer available directly on the taskbar. Is there a way to place it directly on my taskbar as it used to be in MuseScore 3? It would be so convenient and I can finally be able to start using version 4.

Can you explain more about why you find the need to use that button? Why not simply leave it on? Seems that if there is some sort of problem for which you are resorting to use that button as a workaround for, it would be better to find an actual solution that eliminates that need.
Meanwhile, you can assign a shortcut to this action in Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts.

Well first of all I want to thank all of you for your quick reply!
You see, I'm a musician and I have to work in transcriptions and orchestrations. The last 20 days I've must have written about 200 pages (A3 page size) making music transcriptions using MuseScore v. 3.
"Toggle MIDI input" it is very useful and handy if is on the main taskbar. As you can clearly understand, writing music is not just about entering music notes using a piano keyboard. It is also about having to enter dynamics, slurs, expression marks, lyrics, make changes on instruments etc. So, at my case (and also I believe it happens with many other users) the computer keyboard is just above my Piano MIDI keyboard, therefore if I leave the commant "Toggle MIDI input" always on I unwittingly press with my arm random notes on my piano keyboard which it causes MuseScore to play those sounds and also sometimes it "freezes" the program.

That's an interesting use case - I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention this before! Normally of course people want to hear sounds when they press a key, and if you don't, you could simply mute your computer speakers, or turn off the keyboard. And certainly pressing a MIDI key shouldn't freeze the program - if you're experiencing that in MuseScore 4, please start a new thread and attach your score and precise steps to reproduce the problem so it can be investigated.
Anyhow, hopefully the suggestion to define a shortcut for the command also addresses this for you. But certainly, if enough people express a need for this button to be more visible, it can be considered. As it is, right now, again, I think you're the first person to ever describe that particular usage that I can recall, and the solutions I mention should address that.
