How to create slanted or tilted lines for guitar string indication?

• Nov 15, 2009 - 18:17

First off, I just "discovered MuseScore - thanks, it's awesome!

I was looking for a tool to write out guitar scales for practice. I am transitioning to Blues/rock from classical.

Of course, I have Segovia's Major and Minor Diatonic Scales - published 1953 by Columbia.

I want to create a similar "scale score" for blues. Among other issues doing this, I was unable to figure out how to create a line that slants upwards or downwards, following the direction of the notes, for the line that shows what string a series of notes are played on.

While MuseScore has a fingering notation tool in the palette, it does not aggregate sequential notes on the same string with a string indication with a line, it simply applies a string number in a circle to each note.

Not a huge issue, but would be nice to have good-looking guitar scores.

So, the question: how to create slanted lines?

Thanks!
