Lyric properties affect wrong syllable

Add lyrics to a tune. Then, try to change it to italic one syllable at a time by pressing right-arrow to go to the next syllable, and clicking the Italic button on the properties tab. This affects the previous syllable instead of the currently selected. (Pressing ctrl-A before hitting the Italic button works but shouldn't be necessary.)
