Which instrument is closest for a Tongue Drum?

I want to set up sheet music for my Tongue Drum but can't find a relevant instrument to set up the score. Which would be the nearest instrument to use in this case, please? I have a melody that I've extended on and want to record the changes that I've made. I'm thinking of using the piano or the xylophone but was wondering if there might be something better that you could suggest.
Best wishes and stay safe,
Dresdel

Thanks, underquark! Unfortunately, it's only a Hluru 15 note D major tongue steel drum and getting notes out of it by hand are difficult so I'm only using the sticks atm. Most notes sound pretty good that way. I'm saving up to get a GUDA tongue drum so, meanwhile, I'm using the Hluru to practice my hand technique. Are you suggesting the Marimba (single stave) for playing with the sticks? ..... Ooh! Whilst searching for the Cello Steel Drum, I found the Steel Drum under Jazz, Percussion Pitched! Hopefully, that's the one. If you think, differently, let me know. I didn't think of looking there! I can read basic sheet music so having to convert to numbers is a little bit of a curved ball for me, especially when you are restricted to only 15 note D major drum. At first, I was totally confused when the notes on the drum didn't correlate with the numbers in their little song book but when I tried it with the correct notes or the ones nearest, I soon discovered why! Ouch! Just didn't sound right! Lol!
