Problems importing a score into Adobe indesign

• Mar 15, 2023 - 01:02

I am trying to import a score into indesign - into a INDD file
I have tried saving the score as a pdf, a 600ppi png image, and as a 300ppi jpeg.
The results are very poor with one or two of the lateral lines of the score being much darker than the rest. Even activating the high resolution in inDesign the definition of the notes is still poor quality.
Perhaps the best results were with the pdf, but exporting from MuseScore to pdf does not seem to give the user any control over the ppi of the resulting pdf so I have no idea of the resolution it is giving me.
When first uploaded the Word document with the score in it the result was not good. I presumed this was because word compresses images, but I have since been trying to paste straight into the INDD document with no better results.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I hope eventually to include the scores in an EBook, so I still have to see how well the tunes convert to an EPub!

I have the same problem! I want to make a hard copy book with Indesign and the import of the Finale scores as PDF files was very poor quality. Can't find anywhere else on the internet that addresses this problem. If you have found a solution, please share!
